This week's harvest

Peppers and tomatoes. Also got a half dozen Romas the other day. It's about time that they're finally turning!

Pole and Fava beans, and a couple red onions

Look at all the soybeans! This was from 1 10 foot long row!

1. Looks good!
When you and the Prophetess eat this food, you'll know that it was grown with care and that it's the freshest food you're ever going to eat. That's what I love about gardening.

We're hauling in summer squashes, Early Girls and Sweet 100 tomatoes these days, plus a few serranos and Jalapenos. Our red onions were harvested with the garlic last month and it looks like we have about a 3 month supply. Your red onions look delicious.

Your favas are at my favorite size -- not too big and they should be bright green even after blanching. If you'd like some fava bean recipes, let me know and I'll PM them. I freeze about 25 quarts of peeled and blanched beans and use them through the winter.

I've never grow soybeans but those look impressive!

2. I'd love recipes!
My Favas didn't do much this time around, but I'm thinking of doing a second crop in the next couple days. What's weir is that my zucchini and yellow squash did very little too. I have one zucchini on the plant right now, and that's all I've seen. But I replanted too, so maybe soon I'll see more.

3. Man, the soy beans look great!
Wish mine were looking that good. I've got two little tiny plants, with drying leafs, and each plant has exactly one soybean on it. They were an afterthought, so I'll try again next year, with more attention, and vigor.
