Flowers but no fruit---
I have 5 tomato plants, and only 2 are bearing fruit. They all have many flowers---but three have not born one fruit. One tomatillo is doing the same. Yet I have cucumbers and squash. Any advice? I bought all five tomatoes at a mainstream store, and they are not hybrids. The plants are lush and green.

1. How long ago were they planted?

2. May---they are tall and lush.
I did some research. Could be any or all of these: too windy, temperature fluctuates too much, not pollinating, too much nitrogen in the soil.

3. Then you've just answered all of the other questions I'd have.
I'm a novice gardener at best, but I know I've had several "late starters" this year. Some that I planted in may are just starting to get some grennies on them.

4. They have everything against them.
Hot in the day---cold at night; windy, I gave them a big dose of "Vegetables alive" when I saw the flowers dying. Also they are heriloom varieties so they will bear less. So the ones that are bearing are miracles!
