1. I wish more people would actually READ this book

To understand what it means. I've seen DU posters in R/T dismiss Darwin as a know nothing racist without ever having cracked the cover. And you know the fundies wouldn't been seen in the same room with it. Darwin was indeed an excellent scientist. Funny how few people really understand what he was saying. If I see the phrase "I'm not a monkey" one more time, I'm gonna scream (or at least say, than how come we share 99% of our genes with Chimps then?)

2. Good news - David Attenborough is working on an evolution programme

When we last spoke, you said that your next project will be a programme on evolution. Is that still in the pipeline?

Yes, it’s Darwin’s bicentennial in Feburary 2009 so I’m working on a script now. It’s probably going to be a single programme rather than a series but I’m still working on it.

He said that too in a BBC radio interview I heard a few days ago - he's probably not going to do any more series after "Life in Cold Blood", but he'll do this and maybe other occasional programmes.

Has he ever done anything that wasn't fantastic? I will keep a sharp eye out for that one!!:bounce:
