The one stop woo shop!
So I was at the local mall (I hadn't been there for awhile) and walked past a new store...All Good Luck store (or something to that effect). I couldn't help it. I had to go in and see what it was exactly. My first impression was a really tacky mixture of chinese good luck paraphernalia and new age crap. But it was a bit more than that. I went back to the bookshelf and surprise surprise all sorts of interesting things. Some of it was typical..books on herbs, chakras, reiki ect. But there was some stuff I had never heard of before like "Vibrational Medicine" written by some quack MD. Ironically on the same shelf were there was a book on chakras and Vibrational Medicine there was also a book on how to resist being drawn into a cult!!! :D
There was one book that kind of intrigued me.."Celtic Sex"....! So Druids do it better?! I didn't look at it though cause by that time the overwhelming smell of incense/aromic candles was starting to make me woozy..And woos worry about toxins in the environment? That stuff is pretty toxic if you ask me.....:o

Anyway, it kind of saddened me because the few science/nature stores that I liked to browse are long gone and this tacky place is there. Oh well. Woo sells.x(

1. There was a woo store when I first moved to this town
but it's long since gone out of business. I used to brave the choking stench of a dozen clashing scented candles to buy some particularly strong incense they carried. I used it for cat box deodorant.

That was the place where a spotty youth once demanded I be "read." I told him, "No thanks, I'd rather be surprised." Talk about a blank look!

I imagine it took him several days to digest that one.

3. Druids do it better?
But, nobody knows who they were...or what they were doing.

I'll be curious if the store is still in business in six months. Let's see how "good" their luck is.

8. Victim Of Mall Shooting Determined Not To Die In Yankee Candle
BUFFALO, NY—In the aftermath of last week's deadly shooting at the Windsor Galleria Mall, many are still struggling to make sense of the indiscriminate murder of 19 innocent people. Though 22-year-old gunman's motives may never be known, some solace can be taken in the amazing story of David Mull, a victim of the bloody rampage who, though seriously injured, heroically dragged himself nearly 50 yards to spare himself the indignity of dying in the shopping center's Yankee Candle retail store.

Mull, whose wife, Brenda, 32, forced him to enter the garish scented-candle store while en route to the food court, said he attempted to run from the shop shortly after hearing the initial gunfire, only to find the killer had moved toward the display of balsam and cedar decorative votives, effectively blocking the exit. The shooter then proceeded to fire a loaded automatic shotgun into the store, striking Mull in the leg and torso and destroying a table full of ceramic potpourri warmers.
