Ladies and Gentlemen
we have a winner!

In the Orac vaccines thread:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=222&topic_id=32845&mesg_id=33645

"Yet I believe that when my parents in the 50/60s were given the liquid polio vaccine tainted with SV40 I believe that is now causing three generations later my child to have a very serious and rare life threatening mitochondrial disease that requires her to have daily medication and routin blood exams (since she was only 5 days old) and she has to restrict her diet to low protein or she could go into a coma or die!"

The polio vaccine of the 1950s (or 60s, depending on when the posters parents went through puberty), actually recombinated DNA and created future generations of mitochondria disease sufferers. That is crazy. I guess that video game "Bioshock" (you get to have your DNA altered on the fly to, you know, kill stuff-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bioshock) was actually historically accurate.

Needless to say at the bottom of the post was a number of links to the standard vaccine-autism websites.

1. That reminds me of the little picture puzzles
from my childhood. The object was to see how many errors we could find in the picture, like shadows pointing in the wrong direction or clocks with only one hand.

But there are just too many thing wrong with this to count them all.

I would just sum it up as TOO FUCKIN STOOPID TO LIVE, and let it go at that. I wish I had not burned out on the health scare lounge, but I don't visit there very often now because I have high blood pressure.

4. She's writing a book!
I'll certainly be shelling out for that! :eyes: I'd laugh at natural selection working the way it should but she's got kids so that's sad.

9. The ULTIMATE Dr. Google
Love the way this person put "research" in their name to make themselves authoritative sounding.
I'd say this person has an 11th grade education but that would be giving them waaaay too much credit. I guess school work wasn't routin for them....:D

10. How can you argue with jesus-is-savior.com?
She's guided by Jebus, which surely trumps peer review.

11. Weird...
'That is why the researchers are pouring their money and effort into finding a patch using the sv40 RNA to try to fix the genetic errors, they're calling this gene therapy and they're also using adenovirus RNA. This is crazy and disgusting mad science and completley antichrist and I am researching this as deeply as I can'

Err, yes. If you say so. Does Bill Frist agree?
