5 Scientific Reasons a Zombie Apocalypse Could Actually Happen
http://www.cracked.com/article_15643_5-scientific-reasons-zombie-apocalypse-could-actually-happen.html

We found out recently that if you try to leave a little kid in a graveyard late at night, he'll freak out. Even if you offer to leave him a gun to protect himself. Why? It's because on some instinctual level, all humans know it's just a matter of time until the zombies show up.

Our culture is full of tales of the undead walking the Earth, from our religions to our comic books. But, some sort of zombie apocalypse isn't actually possible, right?

Right?

Guys?

Actually, yes. It's quite possible. Here's five ways it could happen, according to science.

------------------------------------------------------------

salvorhardin and I were talking about Zombies in another thread, here's an article I thought you fancy-pants sciency types would enjoy reading and then skewering for misinterpreting findings and such.

10. It would have been inappropriate
It wasn't directed at you. Just a joke in truly bad taste.

3. Please don't.
Some people (i.e., us) are able to tell when something is intended to be a joke (like when it is written by a joke website.) Some people, however cannot. I think you know who those people are.

11. Some people just can't get a joke.
Cracked also said that Washington was awesome because he turned green and ripped his shirt of when he got angry (he did have violent mood swings.) They use hyperbole because it's fucking funny.

12. That was funny.
Not as funny as "Bullshit, Jesus, those were MY footprints!" but funny nevertheless.

6. I was most disappointed in the claims about neurogenesis
The article says subjects got up and walked around-- but the source doesn't even say they opened their eyes.

5. I love cracked.com
they always have a nice variety of stuff, good for a quick laugh. I followed David Wong there from his "pointless waste of time" site, and I've been hooked ever since.

9. did you read JDATE?
I loved it; and now it might be a movie, lol.

But yeah, until now I hadn't realized how much I missed the comic. He needs to do it again for cracked. It's not like it takes a lot of work...
