Alot of Buddhist/Hindu statues get treats left for them, like this guy. Apparently Fanta is very popular drink for the Gods/Goddesses because ALLL of them had some Fanta at their base



Outside of buildings and houses are Spirit Houses. Angels live there and protect the house from evil spirits. Every day you put flower garlands and incense and Fanta at your Spirit House to feed the Angels and give them Diabetes


The markets were amazing and they were everwhere

type things. They squeeze them on the street and put them in bottles and sell a bottle of fresh squeezed OJ for the equalivent of $0.05. It was great.

12. I've always wanted to go to Thailand, and now that I'm gonna be married, I might

actually go.

My only hesitation was that I didn't want to go as a single guy. I didn't want to be a sex tourist, and I didn't want people to THINK I was a sex tourist.

I'm a huge fucking pervert, but paying for the ladies is one line I have never crossed and never will.

13. aw, don't let that stop ya~!

I promise you that there are so many westerners, and do much to do, that no one will EVER think you're there for the booty, even if you're in Patong or Phuket Town, which are known for the ping pong shows, etc.

And even with that being said, we had to SEEK OUT the sex. I thought it was going to be all in your face, at least that's how the tourist books and websites make it sound, and we were in the heart of Ping Pong Ball Show Town, Patong, and it was very low key, not in your face, and very family friendly without having to answer ackward questions from the kids type of thing. We were in day 5 of our vacation and we were like WHERE THE HELL ARE THE PING PONG SHOWS (we never went to see one, I was afraid of getting the shite beaten out of me), because we were under the impression that you land at the airport and you are assaulted by 10,000 ladies shooting ping pongs out of their nether-regions :) That was not the case....neither in Bangkok nor Phuket, sadly.

It was very cheap, as well. All of our spending money, our 2nd hotel in Patong, all of our transportation and food, elephant trekking, cooking class, and scuba trip, EVERTHING except for the 1st hotel and r/t airfare, for 11 days, was $1100 USD. I'd spend that in 3 days in Europe, basically.

If you have the chance, you should go. It's great. And the ladies are beautiufl, and no one will think you're there for two in the pinky and a pinky in the stinky if you happen to go on your own :)

15. The ping pong shows....

Are in those places with the dark doors along the side of that wild mess of bars that leads off of Bang La street.

Didn't go, but they do a good job of keeping that sort of stuff out of the way of the general fun & madness there.

The pictures of you and your husband are the type which contribute to the idea that there's SEX all over the place, but don't really convey the actual atmosphere of generally wholesome fun and lack of the kind of entertainment one would expect at bars with brass poles here.

Yes, there are other activities available off-site, but the bars themselves are fun for all ages and persuasions.
