Well, I'm convinced!
What I learned from GD today: "the supernatural world has already been proven to exist". It looks like the dog ate the poster's homework, so he can't post links, but "sorry you missed the published article that explains it" ought to be enough, right?

1. Oh, plenty enough....
...since that would only be one of the greatest discoveries of all time, completely re-writing science as we know it.

Which part has been proven to exist? Did the poster specify? Or has all of the supernatural world been proven to exist, from garden-variety ghosts to vampires, werewolves and the Cottingley Fairies?

4. What, you expect details?
Sheesh, the poster explained that "I have no reason to prove it to you right now". His serene unconcern in the face of skeptical requests for more detail is pretty strong evidence that he's right, don't you think? But I'll hazard a guess: if the thread doesn't fizzle out soon, the word "quantum" will be mentioned.

5. Bingo.
It's like the insistence of nonjudgment on anyone's "faith" except for conservatives who disagree with them.

7. Great post!
Nicely sums up a lot of what goes on in the Health and R/T forums.

6. Proven to exist?
Well, why didn't you say so. That settles everything!

Um, what about the claim that supernature, by definition, cannot be proved by scientific means?

9. You just have to give up on your materialist notions of "proof."
As long as you accept the definition of "prove" as "it's real to me," then the supernatural is proven. See?

10. In the way that Fermat 'proved' his Last Theorem, it seems
"I could tell you where 'the supernatural world' has been proved; but it would take too much time and effort to rock the foundations of human knowledge by providing a link here. Instead, I'd rather have a multi-post conversation about how close-minded people on DU are - a much more important topic"
