21. Those wacky Unitarians
If CSD gets this:

1. Neo-Pagan (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (98%)
3. New Age (98%)

...and I get this:

1. Secular Humanism (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (92%)
3. Nontheist (74%)

...then I have to wonder how lax this questionnaire's UU criteria are. I'm thinking a garden gnome or a slice of pizza might manage a 90+% match too.

14. It's not so much self revelation, as it is fun to compare how we all look at things here
however, the high rate of secular humanism here wasn't a big surprise either, but it was comforting. :P

Although it's been a few days since I took my little test, from what I recall, some of the questions were so magical in thinking that I do wonder about how people can answer some of those gems.

What's a liberal Quaker?

Oddly, the religion of my childhood ranks near the bottom. Guess the years of catechism left their mark? :tinfoilhat:

Or, the great advice coming out of the Vatican nearly daily. :freak:

25. I was raised in similar circumstances.
I was always an atheist, not a big leap for a reform Jew. There was a neighborhood of orthodox near where I grew up. They put barricades in the streets on Saturday so cars and bicycles couldn't use them. The police took them down.

They are very much like Christian or Muslim fundies. I went to scout camp with some of them. Three prayer services a day, say a blessing before and after anything you do, lots of rules. Interestingly, there was not much reference to god, but always to the rules. The emphasis is more on personal observance then on divine oversight. It always seemed quite alien to me.

On edit: Amazing how close these profiles are. I guess we both just picked the "no bullshit" answer for each. The only difference I wonder about is how you scored so high for Hinduism (18%) to my mere 13%. What the hell did you tell them? Gotta admit, except for a vague notion of a pantheon of weird deities, I know nothing of Hinduism.

"Since its inception, the Watch Tower Society has taught that humankind is experiencing the last days of the present world order.<15> In the years leading up to 1914, 1925 and 1975, the Society's publications expressed strong expectations that Armageddon would occur in those years, resulting in surges in membership and subsequent defections.<7>" -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah's_Witnesses

37. Boy, I hope the woos don't notice this...
...we'll never hear the end of it.

"The mean old skeptics want to put us all in re-education camps...a-i-eee! Run...!"

A lot of us grumps got a high score for "Theravada Buddhism." Just like a famous world leader...

Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge were composed of Buddhists and Pol Pot himself was a communist and Theravada Buddhist. Pol Pot studied at a Buddhist monastery (1 year) and then later at a Catholic school (8 years)...

Cambodia’s communism was influenced by Theravada Buddhism (the belief system of 95% of the Khmer people) and its teaching to renunciation of the material world as Pol Pot with his followers organized perfectly by smashing cars and modern industrial equipment with hammers.

http://www.freethoughtpedia.com/wiki/Was_Pol_Pot_an_atheist%3F

(The grammar is strange, but I posted it exactly as found.}

And for the curious, my results. No surprises here:

1. Secular Humanism (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (96%)
3. Liberal Quakers (81%)
4. Neo-Pagan (73%)
5. Nontheist (72%)
