2. Well...
"Alternatives that may represent the future of science"

Or, then again, may not.

3. Must be tough to be that poster.
Life is just a series of Quixotic crusades to try and convince everyone that his mental diarrhea is some kind of universal mystical truth.

Not going to dignify the thread with a kick - it is dying the slow death it deserves.

4. That person is the biggest psudointellectual
On this board. Thinks they know experimental design better than PhD's inappropriately cites other scientific work that they think supports their idiotic hypothesis. In other words has no true grasp of science and often tries to make surface connections that don't exist. Which is my fancy way of saying this person doesn't have a clue.

7. I wasted an hour on that thing, it was a hoot and a holler
Even relatively uneducated people should have been tipped off in the first few minutes when they referenced that old fraud Velikovsky. I spent the last half hour with the sound off because some of the images were gorgeous.

BTW, guys, the reason simple symbols are repeated across diverse cultures is because they're really easy to draw.

That never seems to occur to the wooheads.

9. Multiple times!!!
It really was pretty funny, lots of stunning statements with nothing to back any of them up.

The only things that kept me watching were the visuals they cut to now and then. Those were wonderful.

10. Remember Pensee?
The 70s era journal devoted to Velikovsky catastrophism, publishers of the book Velikovsky Reconsidered? That was these guys, the Talbott brothers. David Talbott is the first talking head in the video, and you'll notice he's the only one of the bunch who regards myths as true records of events, then assumes science must explain them.

Or as Stephen Jay Gould once said, "Velikovsky would rebuild the science of celestial mechanics to save the literal accuracy of ancient legends."

Velikovsky isn't just a referent, he's the pole star of the Talbott's cosmology. The "electric" universe is just a hook to reintroduce the public to the wonderful world of Mr V.
