Flu shot today

I got a flu shot at Walgreens today. The literature they handed out said that thimerosal might or might not have been used in the preparation of the vaccine. Am I doomed?

No signs of autism yet, but I'm monitoring myself closely. On the other hand, how would I know? I ignore a lot of people as it is. On DU, I even Ignore a lot of them.

I normally don't get flu shots, as I'm pretty much home all the time, but lately we've been doing meetups and hanging around other people. Also, we're doing the Colbert/Stewart rally in DC, so two cross-country flights + huge rally of people from around the world = need a flu shot.

7. FYI if you are eligible for the nasal spray

FluMist that has NO preservative...thats better for people with real thimerosol allergies (thats really the worst thimerosol can do, is give an allergic response)
BTW, where's my check for this shot? You know all us Big Pharma shills get a share of the huge profit we make on these shots right (just in case there's a troll...:sarcasm:)

11. Serious answer: They did have the nasal version available as well.

I chose the shot. That's what I've had in the past, with no adverse reaction.

I had a pneumonia shot at the same time, in the other arm. That's the arm that still hurts. That shot hurt, too, whereas the flu shot didn't. I assume the needle is bigger and/or the amount of fluid is greater.

whether or not there was thimerosal in the vaccine. Aren't vaccine batches supposed to come with information about exactly what goes into them?

In a facility where thimerosol is used, even if not in a specific batch, they have to list it as a possible ingredient, like foods that could possibly have peanuts but aren't supposed to technically.
