It's funny when the conservatives I work with try to use this argument for real. My response is usually along the lines of something like, "If you're too ignorant or lazy to research the difference between local weather and global climate, then you have no standing to make any sort of scientific judgment about global warming. Let the scientists do what they have experience and training for, and you can go back to pushing paper."
