Opinions on the "Through the Wormhole" episode about the "sixth sense"?
http://science.discovery.com/videos/through-the-wormhole-sixth-sense/

Even taking into account the expected deficiencies of popular science TV shows, there seems to be some information here that's intriguing, that hints at the possibility of weak telepathic and precognitive effects, even offering (at a stretch) possible physical mechanisms to explain such phenomena.

Is the show merely being too sensationalisticly generous to the positive evidence and glossing over conflicting data, or is there actually some worthwhile substance there?

1. It was a lot of half baked conclusions based on
half assed observations, IMO. I found it disappointing.

2. Set the DVR...
For those interested: on Wed. 9/7, it looks like Science Channel is having a "Through The Wormhole" marathon.

I'll give this a look, but I haven't been too impressed with the show so far. Though I've only partly watched a couple of episodes.

That Science show "Curiosity" is annoying me too. It started off great - the first episode was Stephen Hawking showing why no god was needed to explain the universe.

Then we got - How To Fight An Alien Invasion (with science expert Michelle Rodriguez); why sex is fun (well, that was OK...); why the Titanic sank, and Morgan Freeman explaining alternate universes.

I'd really hoped the first show was a trend. Take a scientific topic and explain it for dummies like me...while pissing off Fundies and Creationists as a bonus. No such luck!
