2. Vice City was a blast.
The NEW GTA San Andreas will be even better, but it is not due out for PC until June.

GTA III is not bad...not near as good as Vice City...but not bad.

3. What's the gameplay style?
is it FPS, or adventure, or what?

If it's FPS, I'll be getting it for the PC, not the PS2.

4. It's a mix
It's not primarily a FPS, although first-person can be used with certain weapons. Most of the game is done in a third-person view, although there are several camera angles available when driving vehicles.

I don't know how the play on the PC differs from PS2 - I don't own a console so I don't have any choice - but I wouldn't give up the PC versions because the mod community for the GTA games is pretty good and that isn't available for consoles.

7. Skinner, play it on PC, mouse and keyboard control much better.
Although if you are used to the whole console control thingy I guess it's all good.

6. Best one of the series
You get access to the entire city fairly early on, the mood is PERFECT, it has style...I love it.

San Andreas is OK, but some of the early missions can be inordinately hard. And I am SICK of bridges being closed to other parts of the map - seriously, how do people commute if they can't cross the damn bridge?
