I first became very interested in PC gaming after playing some of LucasArts' classics such as the Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, etc. A few years ago, maybe it's been a decade now, LucasArts cut back on making quality games and began churning out mediocre Star Wars titles, milking Lucas' Galaxy Far, Far Away for all its worth.
I still find myself buying some of these titles (at the same time gritting my teeth) knowing all too well I'm going to be disappointed. I pass on many now -- including the Revenge of the Sith game -- and it didn't fare too well with the reviews either. Though, there is still some hope -- though I thought Knights of the Old Republic 2 was largely a dissapointment, the original KOTOR was one of the greatest games I've ever played on the PC (and it's a port! -- to a certain degree). Star Wars: Empire at War looks very interesting too -- a space/land real-time strategy on a galactic scale.
