Mac OSX 10.4 and "Monkey Island" - can one be compatible with the other?
Many years ago when we had a Windows machine we used to love to play Monkey Island. Since we went with Mac, however, we never get to play our favorite old games.

A while back we ordered a version of "Monkey" for our Mac's but it didn't work in that it didn't flow smoothly from one scene to another, you couldn't save the games, etc. so we sent it back.

Does anyone know of any version of Monkey Island out there that might be compatible with the OSX 10.4 system.

Thanks very much, I really love this game and the subsequent ones, too.

1. Try searching with the term abandonware
That's the term given for really old software.

Monkey Island was a great game! Good luck!

2. Not abandonware yet. LucasArts still sells it.

3. ScummVM
http://www.scummvm.org/

"ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files."

Works well too. I've even been playing Monkey Island on my Palm with this.
