The 7th Saga - anyone played it?

I'm playing it again with a twist: since it's on an emulator with instant saving abilities, I'm using save-and-reload at each level to refine my character's Stats up so that certain traits (usually either Power or Magic) will be higher than normal. You can refine any Stat up by one point every level if you have the diligence and tedium to replay the "You gained a level!" over and over again until desired stat boosts are given.

1. I played it when it first came out.

I remember it being a little slow and tedious at times - and I believe GamePro rated it like a 3.0 or 3.5 overall citing the same issues - but it was still a fun game in its own right.

I have the Genesis emulator and all the roms also; maybe I should give this one another try today. :)

Also, I too am guilty of playing an RPG until every possible thing is maxed out. This can sometimes take weeks of dedicated gameplay!
