Poll question: I'm finally mayor of a city in Star Wars Galaxies! Help me pick a Colbert-themed name!
Which of these do you think is the best name, for a city on Planet Lok, in Star Wars Galaxies Online?

Mos Colbert
Colbert Nation
Colbert City

3. That's good, but I think it needs to have the name Colbert in it.
FYI: I have a gunboat named "Truthiness."

I renamed it after some teabagging deather threw a fit.

He wasn't happy that my ship was named "Obama," so he went into his stupid death panel screed, so I had to eject him into space.

That was the same dude involved in this later incident:

Even in online role-playing games, Conservatives have to commit suicide-by-cop.

2. Maybe there's something to use in the etymology
that came up for "colbert" - http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=colbert&searchmode=none

"Treowe" sounds pretty durned alien :P

But if you must have "Colbert" in there, how about Colbertton, Colbertville, Otisburg? ;)

Congrats on becoming mayor. What other similar titles might you use in the same vein?

5. Yvits & Mr. Bubble say it's getting old to put "Mos" in front of names in Star Wars cities.

On my server, we already have cites like "Mos Take" and "Mos Vegas" and such.

I'm partial to Mos Colbert myself, even though it would be on Lok and not on Tatooine.

I was leaning toward "Colbert Nation," but then I thought to myself, even though Stephen Colbert like having things named after him, Comedy Central might not like me using what's probably a Registered Trademark.

The Best of Things Named After Stephen Colbert
posted by: Matt Tobey

Just last week, we here at the Colbertdy Colbertral Incolbertder told you about an effort to get a park in Missouri named after Stephen Colbert. When the movement inevitably succeeds, the park will only be one in a long line of Colberts to be Colberted after Colbert. If you're somehow unfamiliar with the complete history of animals, minor-league sports teams and other Colbert-monikered sundries, feast your eyes on this comprehensive video.

What's funny, is if you type "things named after" into Google, it auto-suggests "things named after Stephen Colbert" as the first choice!

6. Yeah, no need to dangle meat in front of CC's lawyers.
On an unrelated note, are you going to play Bioware's Star Wars Old Republic MMO?

I played SW:G from launch until just before the space expansion. I enjoyed the game overall--mostly because I'm a SW geek--but I have a habit of picking broken classes in MMOs, and I just couldn't take trying to make the Carabineer work any more.

Well, that and the fact that SOE support is worse than nothing. :)

7. Was thinking I wouldn't start any new MMOs until Stargate or Star Trek are ready.
SOE support has been pretty good, but they have some blindspots:

1) Spammers selling credits and power-leveling.

2) People using some kind of packet-modifying system to hack PVP

3) If your computer is in the shop for too long, they let you lose all the inventory on your vendors.

However, they are very efficient at answering minor glitches, and getting you "unstuck" when you've fallen off the map or something.

They're really good about responding to minor things.

However, I don't think they even LOOK at systemic things.
