Copper bars are at an all time high of 20 gold for 20 bars, low level armor sells for 20 gold or more, and if gold was money you could buy a house with some of the prices charged for elite items.


Shortdeck now has his mountain goat to ride around (no more bandages for his fat little feet). He has also acquired a blue fox as a pet (appropriately named Murray)

The patch may come as soon as tomorrow (big fun I'm sure lots of issues) Stormdrain(wind) is still a problem getting through at times of high traffic, and Dinosaurs roam the land with little people (should make Rick Perry's crowd ecstatic).

1. I'm making money hand over fist

mostly on Flasks, particularly Flask of the Winds (+300 agi for one hour) and Flask of the Draconic Mind (+300 int for an hour). Both sell for over 130g each. I currently have about 30 or so of the int flasks.

I've been manipulating the market on those. Anyone who undercuts me, I just buy out and repost at the higher price. It's a good fair price, too, not ridiculously jacked up.

I was up to 14k in the bank, but spent 4k buying up flasks. I spent 2.9k on a nice epic piece of chest armour, leaving me currently around 12.5k. Saving up for a Witch-Hunter's Harvester that goes for around 22k.

My current project is an alchemy leveling kit. All the herbs, etc., one would need to level alchemy from 1-525. I'm just trying to figure out a fair price. If one were to buy all the mats, it'd run from 2.8 - 5k on the AH, if it were even available (a few of the herbs are not very available at all). I'm thinking 8-10k range would be fair.

I did my first Rise of the Zandalori heroic random a couple of days ago, and played like a complete noob. I started off dying in the first boss fight by standing in fire. Took a day or so to realize why i did that. I've spent so much time on the Molten Front, standing in lava and fire and taking no damage, I just got to where I ignore fire now. Oops.

once I told everyone I hadn't run many randoms, they did better at talking me through the instance. I got a 24 slot bag drop, which was nice. But I think I may move down to Cata heroics for a while. I was last on DPS throughout the RotZ random, I'm thinking because I'm undergeared.

2. I'm making about 50 gold a day selling stuff I find below absurd market value

Level 5 pants for 9 gold is nuts, so I sell for 1 or 2. And since the gold sellers have too many to sell I sell mine pretty quick. The expensive stuff sits because you can pound (as you know) ten levels or more in a day when you first start so expensive low level stuff is stupid. I put a recipe up I found for 14 that was selling for 50 and it sold in about 30 seconds, so I'm happy.

4. I've noticed the potential at making the gold with alchemy

So I've been leveling another character. My main character is a DK, but I also have an 85 warlock and an 85 rogue.

3. Today I did a dungeon. I would have rather debated a Freeper

uncoordinated morans. I am a hunter. Actual quote "What you need a bow for?" Uh to kill the bad guys with, hunters aren't tanks but they kill long range. " Why you here, only tanks belong here".


I asked if he had completed grammar school and thought Ron Paul was God. He didn't understand what I was talking about.

5. big news update

so, my guild's owner disappeared for two months. I contacted a GM, and they promoted me to guild manager. Woot. I named a couple of officers, we started doing guild achieve runs, got up to level 8.

We had a couple of new 85s join up, but their attendance was spotty.

Then my stepbrother, who got me into the game, had an idea. He just joined a new raiding guild. They're looking to possibly expand to a second ten man. So, the guilds merged.

Looks like I may be able to start raiding in the future, instead of trying to recruit or PUG forever.

I got the cool mount for unlocking everything in Molten Front, and have a blacksmith who's just about acquired the plans for the Witch-Hunter's Harvester, which he'll make if I supply the mats. I only have two bars of truegold to transmute and I'm there.

6. even more news

So, I got the Harvester. Big jump in dps. I also spent a week studying theorycrafting, and had an even bigger jump in DPS. I'm often top of the rankings now in boss fights. Not always, but often.

My guild got a proposal to join another new guild that already had a raiding team. The plan was for me to become an officer, and form a second raid party using a core of my guild and my step brother. His girlfriend was promised a slot in the first raid group.

None of that panned out. One of my guildies got into the new raid party. The rest of us scattered to the winds. I'm now in yet another guild, this time with my step brother and his girlfriend and a couple of others. We're looking to add people and build our own raid group.

Everyone's kind of in a holding pattern right now waiting on 4.3 to come out. Old timers are excited about the transmogrifier, but I'm excited about T13 gear. Apparently, no more JP or VP, it's all drops now. I don't know yet if T13 is BoP or BoE. I'm thinking it must be BoE. The new instances are going to be rolled out over the course of many weeks. I'm definitely getting in on these from the beginning. I never did enough Zandas to get any T12 stuff, and it just took forever when you could only get 900 VP a week.

7. Alliance Ironforge was attacked tonight by the Horde en masse, they lost

Nice equipment!!!. Shortdeck is 63 now and making bundles of gold selling skin and ore.

8. Shorty hit 67 this morning at about 3AM.

nearly 8K gold now. Big success at auctions selling Fel ore, Thorium, and run of the mill metals. leather is priced nuts. I can make 500 gold in about three hours skinning and reselling on auction. master fisherman and miner now.


Started a female dwarf hunter, why not.
