1. Won't survive a court challenge

That sort of thing won't survive a court challenge if its actually implemented by the republican scum. Showing ID, in my opinion, isn't controversial - every single person should have some sort of state issued identification card, and be able to produce it. The problem comes with defining which forms of state issued ID are accepted, and which aren't. By the same token, a passport should be adequate identification in lieu of a state issued ID. At any rate, these sorts of policies are designed solely to disenfranchise voters and tip an election to their favor.
