I'm prepared; I'm just going to ignore them. I'm tired of trying to educate ignorant people. My daughter has SO much self-esteem, and looks upon herself as a good student. She loves learning. When she was in a conventional classroom, she began to have a poor image of herself. We put an end to that. Now, she's demostrating all kinds of scholastic abilities. She has an artist's personality, and just doesn't march to the conventional drummer. We're very happy with this homeschooling arrangement.
Her charter school has been a wonderful thing (we homeschool through a charter). The teacher we meet with monthly has been WONDERFUL, and very helpful as to curriculum suggestions, testing suggestions, etc., etc. It's just what is right for BELOVED DAUGHTER. Other parents do what is best for their kids, and I don't criticize them. Why do some have to be so ignorant as to what works for us?
It is frustrating; don't let it get you down! I make myself let it go.
