1. Darling...

I haven't seen this film since its first release - I loved it, and of
course it won Julie Christie an Oscar. It was considered very daring,
and that was certainly part of its attraction - I wonder if it's dated?
I'd watch Dirk Bogarde in almost anything (I'll except the "Carry On"
films), and Christie was so beautiful back then, I'm not sure it would
matter.

I checked Quickflix for it, but they don't have it listed - they have a
long way to go to catch up to Netflix. I shall have to hope that TCM
here decides to play it, although they never have before.

I noticed that "Blowup" is also screening - that was also very daring
and a "must-see" at the time, but when I saw it again a couple of years
ago, I found it dreadfully dated, and there were quite a few goofs that
I picked up, as well as some very silly scriptwriting. Sad how time can
change our perspective....
