1. Has anybody seen the 1935 Les Miserables?
It's a wonderful book (and yes, I like the musical too), but I didn't
know Fredric March had made a film of it. I like his work - has
anyone seen this film?

2. That's one I just haven't seen.
I have fond memories of a TV adaptation from the 1970s or '80s, and of course I've seen the musical a couple of times and watched the anniversary concert on PBS every time they ran it, but I still haven't seen the various cinematic adaptations.

It was quite good, from memory.

I checked it on IMDb, and it's rated pretty high. You lucky people!

Edit to add: I mean the film is rated high.
