1. Somebody help me out here
Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems TCM has changed the way they post their complete daily schedule. I cannot find where they tell what the 'emphasis' of each evening's programming is. It used to be listed in the center of the schedule, before the night's movie line-up. Now they've got a relatively large advertisement in the schedule, and no 'emphasis' listing. In looking at other people's TCM Schedule postings this week, everybody else has the 'emphasis' noted in their post's headline. Where are you guys finding this info? Please share....

2. You're right. They've changed everything.
:grr: Now you have to click on "This Month" and/or a theme to get the line-up. For example, if you click "The Essentials," you get a listing for months of movie titles in that particular feature, including for tonight (It's The Best Years of Our Lives, pictured).

However, this all leaves us searching for themes, rather than finding them easily. I'd like to complain to TCM. It's a much less user-friendly format, as you have to wait for the Spotlight, Essentials, and other theme sites to load.

3. I just went over to the TCM website to check it out
and found 'The Essentials' which are on Saturdays. It's way too much trouble. And it only gives me the movie they are highlighting for the Essentials, not the Theme of the evening's programming. What I found before, when they would include the theme in the regular programming schedule, was that somehow, by the named theme, the evening's films were linked by the theme, whatever it was. Now, I don't have any idea what the theme is. I join you in not liking this new-fangled way of listing their schedule.

What I do notice, and maybe it was there all along and I didn't see it, is that in the Full Schedule line-up, the evening's films are distinguished by a different color background than the daytime listings. I am wondering what the different colors mean? Is it just for 'pretty' to denote the evening's line-up, or does it really mean something?

I've posted on the TCM forum about this change, asking where did the 'What's On Tonight' feature go, and that I'm not happy with the changes. I wonder if I'll see any feedback-

:hi:

4. The change in format must have happened
overnight Friday into Saturday. I was copying the schedule for this coming week Friday evening, and it was in the usual format, with the evening's theme highlighted just before the 8:00 pm film.

I'm with the rest of you -- this makes it harder to read and understand. Bad job, TCM, no soup for you!
