1. "My Man Godfrey" is great fun.

The entire cast is utterly watchable.

2. LOVE, love, love 'My Man Godfrey'

so much so, that I even sprung for the almost $30 price of the DVD. It's one of those by The Criterion Collection, and even though their movies are wonderful and typically hard-to-find, they are pretty expensive for DVD's, IMHO.

That said, it's a wonderful movie and I always enjoy watching Carole Lombard and William Powell. Only after I watched it the first time, did I learn that they had been married and then divorced BEFORE making this movie! All I can say is, either they had one of the friendliest divorces OR they are superb actors, or both! Their interaction does not belie any hard feelings or resentments. In fact, quite the contrary! A wonderful love story!!
