Just ran across something called "CSR Watch" -- a RW/anti-left "watchdog" site that seems pretty upset about lefty economic activism.

What dorks. We're not anti-business -- if anything, we're very pro-business, as long as the business in question respects human rights, the environment, etc., and doesn't pump money into the Repuke Party.

But then, I'd never expect morans who 1) call environmentalism "absurd," 2) believe that everyone should hail genetically-modified foods without question (yeah, I REALLY want bovine hormones in my tomatoes! bring on those Mad-Cow Romas!), and 3) think global warming is a myth (and that "spending money to address it is a very poor use of limited available finance") to have even half a clue.

In any case, the mere existence of this site, and others like it, is extremely encouraging to me. You know what Gandhi said! (First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you... then you win.)

Normally, I wouldn't direct traffic to any RW site, but it appears to regularly cite left-leaning articles (in order to tear them down, of course) that shed light on other groups working to starve the beast. So, here's the link:

3. DU must be getting a few of their trolls

from time to time. I see a few newer members on boycotting threads screaming about how we're hypocrites whining about the economy while not contributing to it by spending like coked up monkeys, or that we're hurting US workers. The thing they don't understand (or may understand-hard to say how deeply they are into the RW propaganda machine) is that RW companies don't significantly grow the US economy-they only line investor pockets in the short term while raping natural resources in an irresponsible manner that will greatly harm us all in the long term. WalMart may be the biggest employer in the US, but it's done more to harm US workers than any other company. Without WalMart, overtime pay laws would not have been overhauled to benefit employers...and that's only the beginning of the anti-employee legislation WalMart demands from it's government whores. The harm it does to local economies is appalling as well. There's NOTHING "pro American economy" about red companies. They're pro-fascism and pro-robber baron, but nothing more. Stamp them out, and we may actually see "made in the USA" on our products again. We could breathe clean air, we could save the last of the ancient forests for our great grandchildren, we could see a living wage for all Americans. They're fighting against all these things-and we're the ones who need to continually remind the public of this!

7. We ARE helping the economy

Not by growing it, but by reshaping it. After all, the "economy" is nothing more than the systems in place for allocating resources. If you're abusing the resources the whole thing is based on, how on Earth is that helping anyone?

I am just a middle-class suburban mom who will no longer spend her $$$'s with companies who support politicians who think I am immoral democratic scum and don't deserve to exist. Is that so hard to understand? Plus I am fearful of this president's irresponsible fiscal policies. Inflation is coming and the job market is sucking. I need to save to be sure that my family can take care of itself in the coming hard times. Nothing wrong with that. You might even call it responsible.

Bottom line, they may hate me, but they like my money fine. They will learn to respect me and my beliefs or they will not get the $$$'s. Do these people think the can FORCE me to spend money at Walmart?????
