Hallmark Cards Gives 82% to GOP

Remember that if you're tempted to buy one of their cards!

It fits in well with an experience someone I know had some thirty years ago. She shopped a lot at the local Hallmark store, until the day her four year-old needed to go to the bathroom. The manager, who knew my friend well from all her shopping there, insisted they had no bathroom for customer use, something the store owners around here used to all say. She persisted, "But I'm buying all this stuff from you, surely you can make an exception," at which point the manager told her to take her son out to the parking lot and let him go between the cars!!!

And you thought Hallmark was about good taste. :evilfrown:

1. Cards are easy to make and print out
I usually use standard printer paper. Most enjoy my creations more than some standard card. I haven't bought a Hallmark card in years.

3. Do you use any special software?
I bought some HP blank greeting cards to print out my own Christmas cards, but the software it came with only works with PCs. Any suggestions?

4. I have a PC
I use an old version of Printshop. I like the older versions better. It's simpler and easier to use.

5. I'm a Mac user, too -- they often ignore us when they develop software.

Oh, well, it saves us money. ;-)

2. I've stopped buying all Hallmark products.
I didn't know until after the election that they were a big puke company but I haven't bought from them since. Not even tempted.

I'm conserving on the paper products surrounding Christmas, in general. I bet I spent over $200.00 on paper, bows, gift bags, cards, etc, last year. That's just disgusting. This year, I've been digging through closets and boxes and finding years worth of left over paper and bows. I'm decluttering, saving money and starving the beast. Three of my favorite things to do since 11/2.

6. Thanks for the info I stopped buying their cards
I got a great program and I make most of mine or buy the ones made with natural products that I know a progressive would have made!

7. Found great Christmas cards
at a local charitable resale shop....still, I made sure none were by hallmark. I didn't even want to advertise their cards second-hand.
