List the products and services to BUY here:
Edited on Mon Jan-17-05 09:42 PM by lostnfound
Sure it's better to consume less. But some of us have had one of those surgically implanted consumer chips planted in your brain that says "Buy! Buy! Buy!" And we all need some basics. If so, put that buying urge to good use. When we buy the right kind of stuff from the right kinds of stores, we nurture tomorrow's alternatives.

Our society has a tumor of corporate power gone wild. Rob the tumor of its blood supply, and feed the healthy parts instead, to make society stronger and more able to fight off tomorrow's attacks.

2. Heirloom seeds / rare varieties to encourage biodiversity.
Organic, non-GMO.

(The biodiversity folks warn of the dangers of monoculture. Mass plantings of the same small handful of plant varieties do not give robust resistance to plant diseases or insects. They create a 'superhighway for insects'. Then more pesticides must be used.)
