We need to market our movement to other Dems

Over the last couple of years I've had one bumpersticker or another on my car.
"HOWARD DEAN"
"NO TO EMPIRE"
"JOHN KERRY"

This website, DemocraticUndergound, has bumperstickers, but none yet with the words "DemocraticUnderground". (They do have other items with their name.)

The website www.bumperstatements.com allows you to make up your own bumpersticker online. You can even choose the text color and the background color. Your local print shop can also make a bumpersticker, but this could be more expensive for just one or two stickers. The Branding thread has some ideas for a slogan, such as "NOT BUYING IT" or "BUY BLUE".

When people are waiting at a traffic light behind you, they have time to read your thoughts.

Of course word of mouth and e-mail are good too. Are there other ways to market?

1. I posted this t-shirt and decal idea on the other thread:

The shirt would have "Not Buying It". Printed on the front, with the names of hundreds of products and services intermixed Bush* lies printed in a large block-red type, of course. The back would say "Buying It"! white letters on a blue silhouette of the US, above a large blue block of Progressive products, services, ideas and "values".

Thought it would also be good to make up blue US decals with "Buy It"! written across them that we could give out to Progressive businesses, letting others know that they're one of the good guys!


One of our first challenges, though, is to get more DUers involved in this group! I think we'll need various members to post threads relating to this issue (with a link to this group included, obviously) from time to time in other forums. Getting liberals on board with any organized action is generally an uphill battle, but we need to start somewhere!

"YOUR MONEY VOTES EVERY DAY"

As mentioned above, if you have some favorite saying, you can make your own. You can also get a blank car magnet on which to apply the bumpersticker.
