what a pain in the ass..

second time these guys call me back after i sent them an email telling them i didn't care if i played with them or not because they are a little too mellow from what i got out of the first "audition" So i assumed they were willing to bend and accomadate some of my tastes. i bring an mp3 player loaded with 10 sample songs of material i'd like to do, which is totally within their purported genres, and they went over like a fart in church. odd thing is, i think the other two guys liked the stuff but the singer didn't like it because it was "guitar oriented", and he doesnt' like "new blues" because he has to feel personally attached to the song. So after we listened to some of my ideas, what did we play? "monkey business"!! there's a deep, emotional song!

how frustrating!!

and people always give me shit about the fact that i dont' play out at all.. this is why!
