UPS, Fed Ex, or USPS?
Which has the correct-shaped boxes?

1. go to a guitar store.. |
|
ask them if they have an extra shipping box for a guitar.
if it's a decent shop they will just let you have it.
the post office is a good place to ship that stuff, then fedex. ups sucks.

2. However, Some UPS Stores. . . |
|
. . .have musical instrument shipping boxes now. They probably have one that would be perfect for guitar and they bubble wrap the daylights out things.

3. I was just with a friend of mine who shipped UPS |
|
The guy at the UPS store measured the case and said he will fabricate a box for it. I think it was about 25 bucks or so. I'm not saying this is the way to go, but just sharing what I know.

5. Fed Ex Ground is fairly gentle, UPS Ground can be somewhat rough |
|
Be sure you insure and they will treat it nicer.
Second on visit a guitar store to see if they have a spare box.
