I knew Les Paul was part of recording history, but I didn't know to what extent.
I was just surfing and came upon this. It's an interesting read for you recording people out there. It's not long, just interesting.

Actually, there is a lot of good info on that whole site. It looks like a class, but they posted some really good techniques and history. Check it all out.

Looks like the world has Les Paul to thank along with Bing Crosby for modern-era tape recording--until I read your link info, I didn't know how much Les had influenced this field.

Ahhhhhhh. Give me an Ampex 350 with vacuum tube circuitry, rolling Grand Master tape at 15 ips!
