New pictures of Sheridan without his cone.
Edited on Sat May-24-08 07:52 PM by Greylyn58
Thought I would post these new pictures of my boy now that he is coneless. The stitches were removed from his mouth on Thursday and the vet said his mouth looks good. He has returned to his crazy, fun-loving self.

This picture was taken in my parent's backyard. He was so thrilled to have his cone gone, he rolled all over the grass.

These next two were taken today on my apartment balcony. My handsome boy... :)

and this last one I like because it shows Sheridan just relaxing.

Just wanted to show off my beautiful boy with my friends here in the Edwards Forum.

2. He looks happy - Is he eating well?
I know that can be a challenge, but usually you come up with some kind of system that works. I had a cat that lived to be 22, and for a few months during her last year I had to blend her food until it was baby food consistency. It worked out fine, although my margaritas tasted a little fishy :toast:

3. He's eating fine.
The vet said he could go back to eating his dry food, but suggested I add water to it for about two weeks along with some soft food. So far he is doing quite well. :)

5. Good!!
He looks great! The change to his mouth isn't nearly as noticeable as I thought it would be. From these pictures, I'd say no one would notice if they didn't already know he'd had surgery. It's so good to see him enjoying himself and acting silly!

10. I'm so thrilled to see and hear Sheridan is doing well!
I was just sick when I read your post about Sheridan. I hate to see animals in pain or suffering. I think it bothers me more than it does when people suffer, because people have the ability to understand what's happening, and animals don't. They just know they hurt, or that people are hurting them.

What a sweet dog - I'm so glad to know that he's better!

The time we have with our pets is so short, love them every chance you get!
