In 2000 I was all about Gore and I warmed up to Kerry in '04, John Edwards is my hopes and my dreams! I trust him and I believe in him and I think he would have been a GREAT PRESIDENT And I can't get over him being marginalized and ignored and locked out! I don't like Obama. As far as I see it, Obama lied when he said he wouldn't run in '08, that he would finish out his Senate term. If he had done that, Edwards would be our Democratic Nominee. I can never forgive Obama for that.

With a WHOLE lot of help. The powers that be shut Edwards out, a long time ago. They shut out any populist for POTUS. And the Dem party is an instrument in the rise of Obama and the shutting out of Edwards. Apparently Edwards considers himself a true blue Democrat and is willing to work within the system. Or, perhaps he sees that the best way he can get his important agenda in the foreground is to accept how things are and work in the existing system.

2. It's Not Only Obama... It Was A Lot Of "Behind The Scenes" D.C. Elites Who

decided a long time ago that the Democrats needed to "make history" and used THEIR POWER to keep Edwards down. Say what you will, I truly believe this is true.

And now I think it may be possible that the REPUKES win again!! JOHN EDWARDS was THE VERY BEST choice. We saw it here at DU time and time again. Almost every poll taken after every debate, he was on top. Further, I recall seeing him coming out on top on almost every question/poll that was posed.

I rarely post anymore and I'm pretty much "out of the loop" regarding this election, but I too LOVE JOHN EDWARDS! I still have my bumper stickers on my car and they will stay there.

But I cannot reconcile myself to Edwards' endorsement of Obama. You said that you don't like BO and that he lied. I agree. As an Edward's supporter myself, I find it galling that JE would sign on with the Obama camp. BO is the antithesis of all that Edwards stands for. It was not until John "suspended" his campaign that Obama even mentioned poverty, let alone broached a populist platform. Obama has aligned himself with dubious characters that never would have entered Edwards' realm. I don't know what is behind this endorsement, but it has left me disillusioned and with a lot of unanswered questions.
