Apparently this has caused a lot of controversy but reading the comments on the AG site is bizarre. One poster even commented that the homeless doll didn't come with enough outfits and she had to buy more. Another commented on the fashion ability of its clothes and yet another that poverty wasn't the issue that it was just a pretty doll!
This is way poverty isn't an issue in this country and why the WH isn't really doing anything .This is why it is on the back burner.BTW, you are advised to buy a brush for the doll for an additional $7. All this while real children starve.
