This is Duncan, the 13-year old founder of Kids For Edwards (www.kidsforedwards.org) and Kids For Change (www.kidsforchange.us).

Why I am Supporting John Edwards

John Edwards is running for president because he wants to build an America that lives up to its promise — one where we all share the prosperity at home and one that shows real moral leadership
around the world.

I am supporting John Edwards for many reasons. Of all the Democrats running, his plans are the most specific. (IE- his environmental plan is the best in the field according to the Friends of the Earth and the Sierra Club; his living wage plan benefits the most people, etc.) Unlike some other Democrats, he hasn't taken money from the lobbyists and special interest groups in Washington, D.C.; because of this he can bring real change to our country. He's the most progressive candidate running for President (besides our friend Dennis) but is also the most electable. Never before has our party been crossed with the most electable candidate who happens to be the most progressive. In the most recent head-to-head poll, Edwards wins dramatically.

In head-to-head polling against the likes of Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney, Clinton and Obama have managed to post only modest leads. Edwards, by contrast, not only bests every Republican candidate in the race, he trounces them -- by an average of twelve points."
I am tired of the Shrub Administration. It is time to get a Democrat in the White House. We can do that with John Edwards- and this time we are lucky because he is the most progressive. That's why I created Kids For Edwards (www.kidsforedwards.org) and Kids For Change (www.kidsforedwards.org). I hope you will join me in our fight for One America.

What We Do

Kids For Edwards is a grassroots organization dedicated to engaging the younger generation in the political process through assisting a specific campaign- John Edwards for President. Currently, 245 students are active in my organization; a total of 450 students have participated at one time or another. Together, our students have raised $3,500 for the Edwards campaign through lemonade stands, made 750 phone calls and have gone door to door at 30 houses.
