Our group here in California- San Fernando Valley to be exact - was resolute that we are going to keep working. We are planning more GOTV activities here in advance of our Feb 5th primary, and we are sending people to Nevada for their caucus on the 19th.

We had two first hand reports from people who had gone to Iowa- including DUer Huskerlaw!

I'm SO glad to know your group is working on Nevada, too! Every state is so important now! (OK, yes, they're all important all the time, but ....even more so now.)

As you know, I won't have a lot of influence.... trying my best to bring in some new people... people who are poor, and have been left out of the system for so long. I won't be tipping Colorado in any significant way, but it's time to get back to including people who have been forgotten, and I'm gonig to do the best I can with that. I wish people would do that in other states, too.

Please keep us informed of all your activities..... it raises the spirits of all of us!

:grouphug: I can't fathom what's playing out this evening, but I also understand that it's not John's fault at all. The media's made themselves a free reality show out of our selection for president. It's disgusting and it's just plain WRONG! It's just another example of what John's been saying all along about we citizens being manipulated to serve the corporate desires. Sure we'll all get to vote (or not) come November, but with contrived choices???

From what I hear from too many people, though, it's very simplistic and superficial stuff.... "He's too negative". "I don't want another white male president."

So, I'm back to what I've felt strongly the last 4 years -- This country is going to have to crash and burn before it's citizens take it seriously.

Given that scenario, I guess I should hope the nominee *is* sHillary, then she'll lose to the RW, and the country will continue it's flush at an increased swirl.

This slow boil isn't making it.

We'll need each other all the more.

Holding hands, group hugs, listening to each other, and caring deeply about each other.

Because it really does hurt to see both the forest AND the trees!

Spent several hours at the Dover NH Edwards office phone banking. Talked to a fair number of folks who were supporting Edwards. I feel like we're inching our way up. Like John just said in his speech, 99% of Americans have not yet spoken. We have to make sure they have a real choice in John Edwards! So onward and upward!

I have been reading Paul Street's analyses of Edwards, Kucinich and especially Obama this morning. I think that what he has to say is really helpful. Trying to figure out the best way to pass it on.
