I know everyone wants to promote John, but we have to be positive about it. We need to quietly go about our promoting of him to the press, and the people. We need to give money to his campaign and trust that he knows what he is doing. Look, right now, he is flying under the radar, so to speak. Clinton and Obama are bashing each other, someone is going to make a huge mistake, or something is going to come out that will make the campaign fall to it's knees. Meanwhile, John is staying above the fray, delivering his message.

What needs to be done is something viral, that will get everyone's attention. A video that is so damn cute or interesting that all the stations will pick it up. Or a web site, something like the "we tried" web site after the election. Maybe, "signsforEdwards" or "whywewantJohn" or something that creative people can get on board. I was even thinking about the pixel million dollar web site, and having people pledge money for Edwards and get pixels that would reveal his face. John Edwards impersonators, Edwards for President videos, why Edwards gets my vote videos, something that will spark interest.

Maybe cookie sales for Edwards, real people contributing to the People's President. Okay, there has to be something.

1. Today there are some sHillary and Obama supporters defending Edwards against heinous attacks.

I've been thanking them, and hope that more of us will do so.

If you wish, I can try to find the threads again, because these people hadn't gotten any responses before I thanked them.

I think that has a lot of the "positive" vibes you're looking for.

Would it be hard for you to find them?

I think we can make a tremendous impact around here (and everywhere else) by building a stellar and exemplary reputation for Edwards supporters. While others scream and yell at each other, ripping and tearing and destroying, we can move serenely and steadfastly and strongly with the confidence that comes from the power of the message we are representing and promoting.

People should be glad to see an Edwards supporter show up. People should see an alternative in the way we debate. Our style should be as high-minded and liberating as our message is. Make it as easy as possible for people to listen to us and to listen to Edwards. We don't need to hate and scream, because we know we have the real deal and can win without that crap. If people can only hear the message, they will be won over.

2. Just thought of something else

What about an "IloveJohn" site with videos saying why they love the John in their lives. I could see someone saying how they love John Lennon and then at the end someone says they are supposed to be talking about John Edwards and they do something like a Roseana Dana on SNL or some such thing. Okay, trying to think out of the box.
