You know, I have "The Tortoise and The Hare" stuck in my head.

I haven't really posted here much until yesterday, but I was an Edwards supporter in '04 (and felt we "settled" for Kerry), and I am an Edwards supporter now (and feel we will "settle" if Clinton or Obama gets the nomination).

This could just be wishful thinking on my part, but looking at the sniping and nastiness between the Clinton and Obama camps, and the candidates themselves, I can't help but think of the Tortoise and Hare thing. Clinton and Obama are the Hare; Edwards is the Tortoise. While those two are beating each other up, Edwards is out doing what he does, speaking with people, etc.

I hope my thought comes true, because I really DO think he is the best person for the job right now.

I'm so tired of WE THE PEOPLE being at the bottom of the list, and the politicians and the corporations being at the top.

I think that's why he's staying in, and why it's important for him to stay in. The dynamics can change at a moments notice.

I hope we don't make a mistake, and next year think "Gee, if only we paid attention to that other candidate ..."

For the past week, the only thing I've heard from Clinton and Obama goes something like this:

"You're a poopy head!

"No, YOU'RE a poopy head!"

"No, YOU'RE A POOPY HEAD!"

"Well, YOU ARE THE BIGGEST STINKIEST POOPY HEAD EVER!!!!"

They are both making this about themselves. Apparently, WE THE PEOPLE don't count with them.
