Sooo excited, just have to share. Edwards in Chattanooga, TN

My sons and I attended and worked an Edwards rally. There was a crowd of 300+ which is pretty good for us on a workday. So much energy in the room and a big shout out to his staff who are wonderful!

I'm so envious as a friend was driving him back to the airport, which I didn't know, just standing there talking to her through the window, and he got into her van! I'll try to get the cellphone pic later.

I'm not good at posting pics, but hopefully these few will show up!

It was great, and my 17 yr. old stated, "he's much better in person than he on TV. He's okay on TV. but he's much better in person." That one got to shake his hand.

My friend who drove him back to the airport is the one who was holding the BIG warmonger sign when I posted a link to our county's website when Dimson** was in town visiting Erlanger. :puke:

I didn't know what she was doing, and when I asked her why she was just sitting in the same spot (after I'd helped her move the van so 3 cars could pull out) she told me what she was up to and I told her to "get out of the van and let me in!" We were standing there chatting with her through the window when he got into the van. I said goodbye to her, he made eye contact, flashed that smile, nodded and waved and they were off.

I mentioned to her that if she got to talk to him to please mention that we missed Elizabeth and to let her know we're thinking about her.

Truly a great day, even though I did work the event and wore my jack of all trades cap, lol! Maybe he'll get to NJ sometime soon!

My friend was an Obama supporter, but she told me that she's already voted for Edwards because of Hillary and Obama's behavior. :thumbsup:

10. I just spoke with her and she's had 3 of his staffers sleeping in

her house on different nights this past weekend. Pauley (sp?) who was great and who I was working with today was at her house last night.

Edwards mentioned not feeling well, and after the event Pauley mentioned that other candidates would probably cancel events if that sick, but Edwards refused to consider it. My friend told me that shortly after he got into the van he slumped down with his head in his hand and asked the staffers with him for Excedrin. After about a minute, she told him that she didn't think that he needed to be trying to make small talk, and that he looked relieved to have an opportunity to be quiet. She mentioned that she thinks that he has the flu and that it seemed to hurt when he talked, but you never would have known it from watching him at the event. I noticed that he had on a suit and a long coat (kinda out of place for here). It was 25 this morning, but by the time we were leaving the event it was 61...perhaps he has the long overcoat on because he's running a fever and chilling.

We were throwing off clothing before we got into the car for the ride home!
