Tred carefully, Edwardians.... pleeeeeez
This is an awful day... worse for those of us who NEEDED desperately to be represented.

This is, or shortly will be, decision time for all of us. Some of us have made our decision. For those of us who know that this is the end of the road, and that we will no more vote for Tweedledum and Tweedledee, tred carefully.

We're already being eviscerated by the DLC bots, and the last thing we need is to have the same treatment at the hands of our friends.

This is going to come up in the future, as we make our choices. Please remember that those of us who have made the choice to back away from the national party are in deep pain, and are already suffering. That suffering is more than enough. Some of us have been with this party our whole lives, and for me, that is since the 60's! This doesn't come easy to me.

I will do my damnest to understand and accept those of you who chose to vote for one of the leftovers.

I simply as you do the same for me, and for the other very thoughtful people who are making this painful choice.

Thank you.

1. bobbolink, I agree. Each of us has to make a decision,
whether that is to go with Clinton, or Obama, or vote Edwards anyway, or not vote at all.

IMHO, it is not up to me or anyone else to judge a person's choice.

5. Thanks, Seattle Girl! I think this group is full of sensitive, reasonable people.
BUT... pressure is great, and sometimes it's easy to get carried away with the fury of the moment.

We are all good people....we just need to remember that above all!

3. I'm still voting for John on Tuesday.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I see little difference between the two who are left. Choosing between them is like choosing between pink eye and a yeast infection.

8. the Democratic party
The Democratic party is an organization, and the purpose of that organization is to advance certain principles and ideals and to represent the interests of those people the Republicans do not care about.

We can cling to the shell and abandon the principles and ideals and millions of people. We can hope that somehow that will change. But there is a problem - rewarding the direction the party is going is certain to reinforce and perpetuate it. You could keep paying dues to the humane society and attending meetings, too, even though a cabal of insiders had turned the organization into a private hunting club. Then you can help beat up and drum out anyone who points out that the organization has abandoned and repudiated its avowed purpose - mock and ridicule them as losers for caring about stray and suffering animals. No one would do that to dogs and cats. Why are we willing to do that to human beings?
