It looks like there is movement in the John Edwards camp.
Well it seems that John met with Hillary last Thursday and will meet with Obama tomorrow according to Candy Crowley on CNN and the link on CNN. Its obvious there are some serious considerations, negotiations and decisions that John will have to make fairly soon and I'm sure an endorsement is coming. Here is the link:

Edwards meeting with Clinton, Obama on endorsement
Posted: 03:38 PM ET
(CNN) — CNN has learned that former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards met with Hillary Clinton Thursday, and is meeting with Barack Obama Monday, to discuss a possible primary endorsement.

The Thursday meeting, which took place at Edwards’ home in Chapel Hill, was followed by a Saturday night session during which the former North Carolina senator and several longtime advisers discussed many issues, including which candidate he should endorse.

At a Chapel Hill party yesterday for Edwards supporters, he gave no indication who he might endorse, or whether that endorsement is imminent. Some advisers are encouraging him not to endorse.

The former candidate is weighing a number of considerations before making his choice - including electability, and who will best promote his ideas.

There are policy considerations at play: there is a sense within the Edwards camp that Clinton's policies could be better for working class Americans. But Obama's anti-lobbyist proposals are more aligned with Edwards’ politics.

Two friends close to Elizabeth Edwards say she has been in support of Barack Obama, whose campaign has been touting a list of endorsements from former Edwards backers.

His credibility is on the line, and I don't think either of the two remaining candidates is worthy of an Edwards' endorsement.

Of course, it could just be a matter of closing down offices, packing up, and things like that. But it could be something else as well.

I keep hoping we'll hear something soon, I just hope John waits to endorse. He said he wouldn't consider the VP position, but who knows at this point.

And I'm still wondering what might happen at the convention...

8. As a die hard supporter of Edwards,
I guess I hope he doesn't endorse either of the frontrunners either. I think JE is head and shoulders above them, and his policy stance does not really align with them. I will be writing him in on the 19th, and maybe even in the GE. I have not been convinced otherwise.

10. I was working this morning at the hotel.. and the breakfast area feel
was that John was their best hope.. They hate how these last two have become so far removed from real issues.. And their was a general feel that Hillary, even though being part of the dynasty, does have policies that will help this country better than Obamas... At the end of the day she cares about children and education and universal healthcare.. and I think it would be a huge priority.. I just don't trust her on war stuff.. I don't want her to feel forced into more wars or continuing the war.. AND I don't think Obama is strong enough to push a progressive agenda.. I don't really think he's all that progressive.. yet, he's being thrown in the ring like he's Kucinich... He's no where near it.. Also, I'm worried that he will be crowned and the Rezko thing will kill the Democratic Party.. and the Change/ Hope meme.. Also I really don't like how he preaches at the crowds...

Also, the other night.. Clinton's speach was great.. Obama stuttered and pranced around.. And I thought it was odd that his "end" country music song is the same song George Bush used to end his rally's or speaches...

but if he's meeting with both of them I'm scared that means he might...I have to say if he's going to, I think I hope it's Hillary. But I'd rather it be neither. I'd like to see him continue to stay above the fray.

It still just makes me sick that the supposed reason for him to drop out was to avoid exactly what is happening now, and really means that he could have owned a brokered convention...I haven't even really watched the news for the past two weeks, I just don't care which one of them wins, cause I can't shake the feeling that we're fucked either way.

And on that lovely note, I'm off to bed...

13. I have to agree with most of you, I hope John waits.
I don't see any reason to be rushed about it. John's endorsement might influence my decision on who to support, because I just don't like either one of them enough to support them.

All the hope is gone, all the passion of finally getting a good President in office has left me.

We'll see what happens...I do feel something is up though. The way John went from 100% campaign mode to suspending his campaign seems a bit out of character for him. And I would have expected more information forthcoming from him at this point, so something's up. ;)

14. I don't want Mr. Edwards or Mr. Gore to endorse
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 12:07 PM by RestoreGore
I don't know why they have to now, and I think it would only undermine Mr. Edwards's message about corporate candidates and Mr. Gore's about the climate crisis being a moral issue. Why endorse them then? I think they should both wait out the primary season and then if they choose to, endorse whoever the nominee is.

Me, I'm done with this. I will have to hold my nose in November again, and then I'm done. I'm tired of "Obamamania" and this substanceless campaign. And I'm not too thrilled with the thought of either of them because I am certain whether or not troops are taken out of Iraq this war will continue. Both of them are big supporters of Israel and while they have stated they will withdraw troops from Iraq, they have not pledged that they would not put them somewhere else in the Middle East. So I will do my duty in November and then move on to doing what I feel is most important now... working to preserve the planet.

So thanks again to those in this folder who have been so cordial to me and accepted me as an Edwards supporter. It seems you all here can at least discuss disagreements with people. When I was stating here why I didn't want Mr. Gore running this time out or being pushed into this muck I was trashed mercilessly by some Gore supporters here... some just as nasty as the Obama supporters. But in the end I think it has been seen that he was right about the toxicity of that muck and he is doing tremendous work for the world as a Nobel Peace Prize winner and statesman who can also exert great influence on where this country and party goes. I think John Edwards can do the same now and he shouldn't have to endorse Obama or Clinton to do be able to do it.

17. Good to see you here.
:hi:

I agree completely with you. Gore has been very effective without being in elective office and, while I had hoped that he would run, I hated the idea of pushing him to do so. I hope he won't endorse anyone until, perhaps, after the coronation, er, I mean, nomination.

I was dreading the news today, thinking that JE was going to endorse one of the remaining corporate candidates. I'm voting for him tomorrow and an endorsement is about the only thing that would make me change my mind about that. Not because I would vote for who he endorsed, but because I want Obama and Clinton to have to work for my vote by doing more than paying lip service to John's platform.

I've been posting and sending out flyers, to try and convince my fellow Marylanders to vote for John tomorrow. The media may not be paying much attention to the votes that John is still getting but you can bet the Clinton and Obama camps are.

20. ABC News: Obama-Edwards meeting has been rescheduled
ABC News: Obama-Edwards meeting has been rescheduled
Mon Feb-11-08 01:51 PM

ABC News' Sunlen Miller Reports: An in-person meeting schedule for tonight between Senator Barack Obama and former Senator John Edwards in North Carolina has been rescheduled, the Obama campaign confirms.

The two were intended to meet in North Carolina, Edwards’s home state, after Obama’s last campaign event of the day wrapped up in Baltimore.

A campaign source says that the meeting is being rescheduled.

Senator Clinton met with John Edwards secretly last Thursday. Both candidates are actively courting John Edwards's endorsement. Obama told reporters earlier this week that he talks with Edwards on the phone frequently and he has personally asked him for his endorsement.

While it is unclear which party ultimately pulled the plug on tonight's meeting between Obama and Edwards, sources indicate the meeting will be rescheduled in coming days.

No cause was given for the abrupt rescheduling but sources have indicated that the Obama campaign and Edwards wished that the meeting would be done in private without massive media attention.

Obama campaigns today in Maryland in advance of primaries in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., on Tuesday.

Edwards, Obama meeting canceled
Source: MSNBC

When asked about the AP report that Obama and Edwards meeting is not happening today, the Obama campaign told us to talk to the Edwards camp. However, when pressed, they said it wouldn't be inaccurate to report that the meeting will not happen today or tomorrow.

A source close to Edwards confirms that the meeting has been canceled. But the source doesn’t know the reason behind it; it could be something as simple as a scheduling conflict.

25. I've Said I Didn't Want Him To Endorse Either One Myself... However,
if he can get them to PROMISE IN WRITING that HIS proposals will be incorporated then I think it's better for "we the people!" Even though NEITHER one deserves the time of day from him.

He IS THE MAN with the BEST to offer, but since most of us feel he was "pushed" or "nudged" out, it would be nice to see his ideas incorporated. I AM in a quandry myself!

I would rather give them my middle finger... but it's HIS VISION that's important!

I know I am. My political interest, emotions, etc. has been suspended. I can't even participate in the Edwards corners, here or elsewhere. I feel like I'm in suspended animation about anything and everything to do with politics until I get some direction from John. It's not a pleasant feeling. I feel like I was suddenly dropped into a freefall and I can't find hope in any other candidate. I feel cheated by the whole system and don't know where to turn to find solace.

32. It's Extremely HARD To Be Optimistic! The PROCESS Is No Longer A
PROCESS! It's a GAME, and as I've said before... many in D.C. seem to be riding around on bicycles with SQUARE wheels. I'm only thinking that we might have a chance to be helpful in promoting the Edwards message. Maybe we will find some way to keep the message alive!

This election for POTUS is essentially become a Yin & Yang to me! If TIME proves me wrong, I will be big enough to admit it. But regarding the other two running... this is where my OPTIMISM ends. Sorry for being so negative about that! I think both of them have made deals with the Repukes for whatever reasons. Again, JMHO.

I've already said that if things are still the same by November... I'm thinking it's time for me to OPT OUT of being an activist! Just going NPA perhaps!

that Elizabeth is leaning towards Obama, that would be very disappointing.

I dont see how John could endorse him as not taking lobbyist money when his redcord shows he has been taking from the worst as a state rep. And his excuse that he cant help it if people working for "those" companies are donating as
individuals is the biggest wheel barrow full of horse manure ...but the obamanuts who are too young to know any better believe every word as if its the
