I keep checking to see if it is still there. I wish they would leave it up a bit longer.

2. My very last post there-

What a Ride-

John Edwards changed this Americans life for the better. That, I can say for sure. While I’ve always been somewhat involved in the Democratic Party, and the issues that concern me, it was the John Edwards campaign that captured my activism like none other.

I went several times from California to Nevada to work for the Edwards campaign, and in the Silver State, I met some of the most dedicated people I’ve ever known. Thanks Carter, Liam, Beth, and all the other great staffers and volunteers.

In Iowa, I learned what cold really is, and how warm the people there really are. There were many of us, who took the trip from California to Iowa, and there in Council Bluffs, we never stopped working, and I rarely stopped shivering. Doug, Becca, Kayt, Brian and more, those were some amazing staffers.

In my home state I met many wonderful people I had never known, all because of John Edwards. People like Zak, our One Corps Captain, Yannick the intrepid volunteer, Dan, Nancy and Matt, will be friends of mine for life. I talk to Paula “The Face” on the phone like she’s a long lost sister, and I think of the others most every day, and try to keep up on all of them.

One person I met out there on the road in Iowa, has recommended me for a job within the Democratic Party, and if all goes well, my life may change even more, and once again, for the better.

I want to thank John & Elizabeth, and the whole family. (Especially you Jay.) I want to thank everyone here, and on all the other sites, for their advice, their good words, and their constant and unwavering belief in John, and in what we can all do together. And of course, I want to thank all those staffers, volunteers and voters I met across this country.

When John said it was personal to him, it wasn’t a joke. His campaign changed my life, if that’s not personal, what is?


Yeah, it's sad to see it go down, that's why so many of us are starting sites to carry on what we all believed, together.

No crying in politics....I keep telling myself. Timing is everything......I keep telling myself. Cream rises to the top.......I keep telling myself.


Well, for sure this story is far from over.....but the rareity of it all.....is that no one has a crystal ball and can tell us what the rest of the story will be or how it will end.

4. wow asdjrocky..i didn't know you were in Iowa..i was too..but i was in DesMoines.

in Columbia SC i worked with a gal from Ohio who was in Council Bluffs..i believe..

In DesMoines..we worked out of the headquarters of the Steelworkers..wonderful people..and the best Chili i have eaten in my life!!.or maybe i was so cold anything hot at that point would have been the best!!

I also met wonderful people..and i will tell you this..the Edwards people were the nicest, kindest ..and most geninue.

We didn't have the nasty attitude the other camps did..and for that i am most proud.

I sit here now wondering how the American people could throw off the best candidate..i just don't have the answer to it ..other than Obama cheated in Iowa..and John did not. I guess we are a nation that now just accepts lies and cheating..and shrug and move on..the people ( i call them ipod kids) for Obama are no different than the kool aide drinking sheeple who excused all bushes crimes against humanity and our nation..they just look the other way at Obama's nasty connections and don;t ask a damn question..

Well i am sorry to say we face 4 more years of crooks because the ipod kids don't give a shit about laws and saving this nation..because they are history deprived and don't know history or what it was like before 8 years of little lord pissy pants and his band of criminals.

My husband and i decided about a week ago..we will pay off our home this year..then look into selling and moving to the South of France..i can't live in this country like this..it is no longer the country i grew up to love... so why stay here for retirement?..nope i want out before it gets worse and it will get worse..

Obama will not win the GE..it will not happen..bubba in the south will not let it happen..

Anyway..every day without John and Elizabeth is a sad day indeed..i can not even face voting in Nov and i may just write in "EDWARDS"..rather than hold my nose one more time to vote for president.
The democratic party fucked John and us..i am looking into changing to be an independant..but i was a Kerry/Edwards delegate in 2004 and i won't change until it is decided what will be done with delegates in Fla..and how they will or won't be chosen..i am registered to be an Edwards Delegate..so i am holding off doing anything until some decisions come down.


Thank you for all you did asdjrocky to try to bring us a decent , intelligent , and honest man to the white house..we tried!!

5. Yeah "holding off" is the hard part.

I know a lot about what you did for our guy, and I really respect that flyarm. (Someday you'll have to explain the name to me.)

Council Bluffs was an interesting place. Most of the staff called it Council-tucky Bluffs, and if you spend a week there, you'll know why.

I do feel kind of like I wondering, without direction. Can I come to France with you guys?
