You know I am having a really difficult time staying positive. I just can't do it.

I don't even want to work on my husband's campaign because I don't want to stay in either my state or my country. I do not want to live in a country that would choose a corrupt and empty President Obama. I am tired of being ashamed. I am tired of fighting and accomplishing nothing.If John turns his back on the heathcare we so desperately need by backing Obama my last vestige of faith will be doused.
My family has been in this country before it was a country.They have been here since 1619 and I no longer want to be here. The contempt that this "moronic","badly educated", "entitled", mew generation has for the elderly, the sick and women have cinched it for me. I am revolted by what we have become and revolted by their choice of candidate.

This is the end of my rant. I just had to share it.DU and the world that the MSM has created is really getting to me today.

2. In Az we have "clean elections" and hubby has chosen to run" clean" so we have little money

and currently "I" am the staffer, cheif cook and bottle washer. And I am not doing a great job for the reasons I stated. I am not "fired up" any more. All I can see is that this might mean two more years of staying in a country I don't want to be in.Sigh. I really wish we could have a"staffer ' like you!

I suppose I should be greatful that I have such a restraint on me because the way I feel I could run to an embassy in Mexico and ask to revoke my citizenship. I am impulsive that way! LOL!

It's almost as bad as the funk I was in after the 2004 election. We have really been through it in the past few years, with the loss of two elections, the war with no end in sight, the shredding of the Constitution by BushCo, and the unwillingness of our elected 'leaders' to hold the administration to account. It's really taking a toll. The country is unrecognizable.

I spent the morning un-subscribing to email messages from many of the Dem orgainzations that I have supported in the past. As a lifelong news junkie, I can't even bear to listen to the news because so much of it is skewed. I'll never get past the MSM ignoring JE and his candidacy from the onset and selecting the two front runners in this campaign for us, before a single primary or caucus was held.

I really want out of this country, too, and like you, my family goes way back - to the House of Burgesses. It's pitiful, heartbreaking, and very hard to comprehend. The worst part of it is, I don't think it's going to change.
Probably not in my lifetime.

6. In order to remain positive

I personally have decided to trust John. No matter which candidate he selects (because I have huge reservations about both) I will trust his decision. I trust that his decision is based on a strong belief that the candidate selected will further John's causes. I trust that an endorsement will be based on a brokered deal that John believes is truly worth an endorsement.

7. I am sure John will do what he thinks best but that will have little effect on me.I make my own

decisions. I have already voted for John in the primary but I will NEVER vote for Obama in the GE. No matter who John endorses. But I respect john's right to make his own choice.

12. Welcome to DU, raincity. I decided not to vote at all today.

Just couldn't pull the lever. I go back and forth between the 2 remaining candidates, and dealbreakers just keep rearing their ugly heads.

And lordy, the Obama gloating. I was close to getting on the bandwagon - but, damn - no thank you. I'll just stay on the sidelines for now.

it's still important who gets in.

But for the moment I just dont have feeling about it.

Maybe we'll recover in in 3 or 4 months

but if John goes with the big 0, I dont think I would recover from that disappointment

9. Actually, I am not sure that it is all that important.The Scotus seems to have been

predetermined. Hillary is a hair better than barack but both would nomionate "moderates" and who knows how they would turn out? Barack hasn't a real healthcare plan and neither do the repugs. Hillary plan is Johns. other than that, if it is between barack and McCain, I am not sure i care. Not enough to vote for him or McCain that is for sure.

10. There's no one to vote for.

I made the mistake of getting my hopes up that finally, finally there'd be a president who would live up to my expectations of a president. I cannot and will not vote for Hillary or Obama and absolutely refuse to vote for either of the 2 republicans that will be their nominee. If I even vote in the general election, I'll be writing in Edwards name.

I can't believe it. I could have voted for any of the Democratic nominees except for the 2 that are left. Of course Edwards was first choice & has been since I first attented one of his events over 4 years ago. That night I thought wow!!! Here's someone who really gets it.

If Edwards endorses either of the other 2, I'm going to have to believe his endorsement was forced just like I feel his suspension was.

11. Remember-

There's always someone to vote for. We have local races, and state races. We have Senators to elect, and to unseat. We have propositions to decide in some states, and we have battles still to fight. Take it from someone who poured his heart and soul into this campaign, there are still important issues, and important candidates. Trust me, the local race, or the congressional race holds much less dazzle, but in some ways, they are even more important.

Get involved on a local level, make some noise. John Edwards may not be our next President, but his issues, and his agenda don't have to die. Find yourself an Edwards Democrat, and support him/her.
