Just returned a DNC questionnaire in the mail.

The DNC mailed me a questionnaire about the upcoming election, and included a cover letter, supposedly from Howard Dean. Of course, at the end of the questionnaire it asks for donations. The difference is that question 17 asked if I'd be willing to make a donation; question 18 asked how much, and included a form for filling out the credit card info, etc.

I checked the "no" box to question 16, and added a notation:

"Not until I receive incontrovertible proof that the DNC had absolutely nothing to do with derailing John Edwards' campaign."

I don't think they could answer you truthfully - I'm certain they did.

I hashed it all out in gory detail on my blog, but in my mind it narrows down to "The DNC hates the DLC, and John Edwards was standing in the way of Hillary Clinton's defeat."

Disclaimer: I do not personally agree with that sentiment, but it's the only train of DNC thought that makes any sense to me at all. YMMV. :tinfoilhat:

4. i was in Sc for John's last election and i was at his last rally before suspending and i will tell

you i believe at the end the greatest resentment was towards the Obama people..i know there was anger by Trippi about the Hillary Robo calls..but there was something in the air about Obama..and i think John was duped and done dirty behind the scenes by the Obama camp.

i can't say anything was definitively said..but it was a gut feeling I and others who were with me had.

the stuff supposedly being leaked from the Edwards camp about what John supposedly said about Obama... :)

There's a lot of steaming BS coming out of the Obama camp nowadays as regards John's motives and Clinton's actions, and I do believe that John is sympathetic to the way Hillary's being treated... and maybe that's another part of why he hasn't endorsed yet... He knows his endorsement would help either candidate, but he doesn't want to reward the Obama camp for its sh!tty behavior, and he can't endorse Clinton because not only would he be called a fraud -- he simply can't endorse what she stands for (corporate centrism)....

There's too damn many layers of this to keep straight. It would require a team of us desk-monkeys to do it. :cry:
