Okay...I have to register my disgust at something I just read in GD-P

I've been staying out of GD-P...mostly because I can't stand the nastiness leaking from every corner of that forum. I just went into GD-P and skimmed through some of the threads, just doing a quick read. I saw one that really ticked me off.

Obama has decided not to attend a meeting of Black Leaders in New Orleans. They will be discussing the state of affairs in NOLA and how their rebirth is going or not going.

Obama supporters just blew me away saying that he needed to continue to campaign and that he could just skip this meeting. He could just send his wife instead.

:wow: My mouth just about scraped the floor. John Edwards paid so much attention to NOLA--even while campaigning, but Obama can't be bothered. Damn!!! If that wasn't a clear cut sign of how he views the poor and those among us that are struggling!!!! It appears that he can do nothing wrong. If I were a supporter I would be extremely upset at him for snubbing these people.
