Things are seriously nuts in GD-P
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x101334#101618

One Obama backer posted a soliloquy stating that he was sure Jesus Christ would have voted for Obama.

I replied that I thought this was single most absurdly arrogant post I have ever seen at DU.

THEN -

Another poster tried to take me to task - - asking if I'm so smart - - - who do I think Jesus would vote for?!

God help me, they're all insane.

I seek the sane respite of the John Edwards group. Sanctuary!

1. Obama supporters are NUTZ. They are! One is now reopening Whitewater and saying
Clinton got away with something! he is "quoting" Ken Starr.Unbelievable. Yesterday I had one tell me Bill Clinton was not "known" as a "good speaker" and that his speaking style didn't work overseas. They said it would be nice to have a president that Europeans could respect like Obama.
Honest to God, these people live in an alternative reality.

5. i am hitting back..here is one nasty one to me..but do read my response below it..
Edited on Thu Mar-06-08 08:22 PM by flyarm
fuck these people..

who the fuck do they think they are???????/

i am not answering anything else for another of them..they remind me exactly like the bush bots in 2000 and 2001..i swear they are exactly like them..they run you on a wild goose chase...

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=4929719&mesg_id=4930656

and the little fuckers are absolutely brainless..or are they?????????????? is this a ploy??

the freepers had their ploys..to slow the flow of info..and disinformation

I will tell you all this ..I worked with Andy Stephenson ..and for 2 years before the election in 2004 ..i went out all over fla on my own dime and spoke to many many Dem Clubs warning people about these voting machines..and i did it through 2006

and in 2006 i was in court in NJ when votes were swapped to a town 45 minutes away ..form where the votes took place..i was there helping the candidates and their lawyers.on my own dime for 5 days straight from early morning to very late at night..

it was me who read the insides of the machines..hundreds of them for the candidates..because they had no one there who had the experience..or knew what to look at and for...it was me who helped their lawyers buy extra time to fight for the rights of the voters.

I am neither a lawyer nor a technical expert..i am just an american who has worked to learn everything i can to save my country....for my son and your children.

I have fought for the safety of each and everyone who steps on an airplane..i have gone nose to nose with a 9/11 commissioner..and fought him for some semblance of truth.

well i was a flight crew of one of the airlines involved in 9/11..yeah a flight attendant.. and i was also working with many people working with families of 9/11during the 9/11 commission..there was just so much of me to go around..i was getting so strung out..i just could not keep up with the requests i had to come speak.,

so i trained a few people i trusted with my first born..and i Asked Andy to help me train these people in Fla..

i helped them with public speaking ..and my hubby and i would go with them for their first time speaking experience..etc...

my hubby and i paid for audits in our county..not once but in 2004 and 2006..along with one other older man..

well one of my gals helped write the bill that was passed last year..she has just taken off and done incredible things with a few other people in Fla..

we became the first state to totally outlaw DRE voting machines...

i am not tooting me....not at all..i am tooting the horns of those who worked their asses off to do what they did..we also got Voter Verified Paper Ballots ..and no DRE's..here in Jebs state and most of it was done under Jeb..it was only passed under our new Gov Crist.

well today..my friend and the lady i trained got notice that 4 of them will be getting the highest award given out by the Florida ACLU...

hot damn i am so proud of them.

and the reason i am tellign you this is..

I have worked on many campaigns..i have worked directly with families of 9/11...i have worked endlessly with Pilots for truth..and the Jersey gals..as two live very close to me in my hometown..

I was an elected delegate in my state of Florida..i ran for election..as i wanted to represent my co-workers who lost their lives and voices on 9/11...

i live in two states..but Florida is now my homestead state..NJ is my former home state..and now my part time state..

I have worked my ass off for the people of my county ..and my state and for the democratic party..

i will be damned if i will explain myself to these young whipper snappers who think they can come here and expect me to kiss their fucking asses..

i was a lifetime flight crew..33 years..since my early retirement i have worked my ass off for the democratic party..

who are these little asshole to talk to us with such disrespect? and such arrogance and rude behavior?

i will not tolerate it another moment.

My husband works in the media ( not news) ..and i have used our visibility to get change for all of us..but more importantly for the future generations..but if this is the disrespect we will get for doing all the hard work..i have one big word for them..fuck them!

ok..now that feels better..

fly

the primary date change was tagged onto that bill..

if you had a candidate that you wanted to keep things going ..and just go from Neo con to Neo liberal..where would you send people to get rid of the hard workers..and those who do the grunt work?

maybe Kos and here?????????..i don't know..but others know and others don't think that is far fetched..

do look into Obama's Economic advisor..

start deeply looking at some of these people and what their plans were or are..like a Nuke Plant in Iraq perhaps??????????

and who is so cozy with the nuke folks???????

really people start doing your own deep research....then yoy will understand why MSNBC is giving BJ's to a certain candidate....perhaps a corp that will benefit from a Nuke plant in ..say ..Iraq??????????

keep digging..don't take no for an answer..and don't let these people shut you up..

i am mostly posting..what i call Hit and run..i post the info..and i don't go back..i will not let them give me heart burn..and i won't argue with stupid...not any more..i am done with their little game.

i will not be a pawn in their game ...i will take them down with their game ..with truth!

22. . I certainly do not "hate ' ALL my fellow Democrats but last I looked I have no obligation to love
ALL my so called "fellow Democrats" either. I do not love Zell Miller. or Joe Lieberman(yes, I know he is technically an Indie, but he pulled his crap while a Dem).I do not even "hate" ALL Obama supporters. just the vile , blind , immature , insulting ones. I think that many are a blight on the party and make me ashamed to be a Democrat.

You are entitled to support who you wish OC, as am I. My research on the background of Obama sickens me. He has a false resume built on the efforts of others to satisfy the ambitions of thea Chicago Pol who boasted he would "create himself a US Senator".Jones also tried to intimidate the AA SD's and Black Caucus at the Winter Session of the DNC and informed them they were "obligated" to vote for Obama. Rezko is a huge issue whether you believe it or not.Rezko was finance chair of Obama's Senate campaign. This was not a casual aquaintance. Iraqi oil contracts are involved. If this doesn't bother you , combined with respected Edwards supporters who "witnessed" tampering with the caucus in Nevada,Iowa and Texas, nothing will persuade you to dig further. But I assure you, it will not stop the GOP.

There are things people do for their own reasons, but it doesn't mean they will gain respect by it.

I'll either be the person ahead of you in line to support him, or you'll be the person ahead of me to support him.

I don't believe we have any disagreement on that point.

But you've been slamming the hell out of Obama on DU's boards post-Edwards and I'm not seeing that your choice in candidates is superior to others' choice.

Post-Edwards, his supporters across the United States have gone here and there to either Cinton or Obama. Have they not?

Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 04:17 PM by spooky3
DU rule: "The purpose of the new DU Groups is to provide like-minded people with places where they can discuss issues free from disruption from those who disagree. The theory was that if we provided members with "safe zones" where you were not being forced to constantly defend yourselves, you might not feel quite so victimized by DU, and you might not feel the need to be constantly fighting with other people."

This is not the place for your lectures criticizing DUers who still prefer Edwards and don't care for the bullying by other candidates' supporters; take them to GD: P if you must.

But he happens to be out of the race.

What ground do you stand on to tell his supporters to oppose one of the two main Dems still in the race, and if you don't like intrapartisan references, why do you let the pro-Clinton posters here have a free pass?

We started with Edwards. If he re-enters. we continue to support him.

But he isn't in the race now.

city's residents after the Katrina disaster as a backdrop for his candidacy.

I think that's the legitimate definition of 'scold' -- when Edwards took on the Bush administration and demanded accountability for institutional negligence.

8. Jesus likely wouldn't have registered to vote at all.
He wasn't a Systems guy.

He also made it a point to pass up the synagogues in town, and headed out to party down with John in the desert. He wasn't a downtown kind of guy either and eschewed establishmentarian thinking.

He would have looked at our nomination process, praised John Edwards for the emphasis on poverty, and then disappeared into the night wind.

14. Jesus stood in opposition to those in power who oppressed the poor.
As his ministry is handed down to us, whether it existed or not, poverty is arguably the most visible of the tenets of his ministry.

I'm not sure we can make purposeful guesses as to how he would vote in a U.S. election primary.

There is the obvious resonance of John Edwards' emphasis on poverty but we no more know how Jesus would "vote" than we know if he would like Popsickles.
