1. I love it there -
DU is fast becoming like an addiction - I really need to cut down my usage, it's not doing my health any favors.

4. so many things I love....and mission statement is great
loved this post:

To the EENR Administrators. How lucky are WE to have you and EENR?
We are incredibly lucky that those of you who decided to start this blog actually followed through and did it!
You didn't just talk the talk, you walked the keyboard walk to an ISP and made it happen. That, in itself is the part that took the guts. Some money too, I might add.

We are incredibly lucky that those of you who decided to start this blog did so with a Mission Statement in mind.

You were all veterans of blogging and I know you all have seen the Good, the Bad and the YEEKS! In your wisdom gained by your experience and the addition of your good sense, this is what you wanted Edwards Evolution, Next Revolution to become (I'm cherry picking. So sue me):

Our acronym, "Edwards Evolution, Next Revolution," reflects the formation of the EENR group originally as Edwards Evening News Roundup for supporters of John Edwards during the 2008 presidential primary.
We have continued as EENR because we want to continue the movement for progressive change based on the platform laid out by John Edwards, which we consider the gold standard model for progress in America. We are not affiliated in any way with John Edwards, except as supporters, but we have retained his surname in our acronym as a nod to his significant contribution to the progressive movement.
We are unapologetically progressive and populist. We welcome discussion on a range of progressive issues. We believe in bold, transformative change. We reject the notions of baby steps, moving to the center, bipartisanship, and letting corporations run our government. The current system is out of balance, rigged to favor the powerful interests, unable to hear the voices of those without power. We believe in public financing of all federal elections as a cornerstone to achieve change.
Our government and Constitution belong to the People, who should be protected more than profits. Equality and economic justice are cornerstones of the progressive movement. Universal heath care is a fundamental right, and poverty a fundamental wrong, here and globally. We believe that work should trump wealth, and that a progressive movement must include the working class, unions, and people from diverse backgrounds in all 50 states.
The ideas and ideals placed into those 4 paragraphs have a tremendous strength attached to them.
John Edwards was the voice of the Democratic Party as well as the idea person for the Democratic Presidential Candidates throughout the 2007 campaign. In 2008, the candidates he was running against sure do sound a lot like John Edwards.

Their plans? JRE's.

Their rhetoric? JRE's plans.

It's good to know you were right in the first place, isn't it?

;-)

We are incredibly lucky that those of you who decided to start this blog have a sense of humor.

Without your sense of humor, I would have been banned on day one and my boring "the sky is falling" series of non-funluvn economic diaries would be missed by all. Ok, by some. Oh, all right! Two of us would miss them. Geez! Tough crowd here.

We are incredibly lucky that those of you who decided to start this blog gave us all a place to come home to.

You allowed us to take our uncertainties, our craziness, our wishes for real discourse once again and created a home where we could come in, hang up our jackets, grab a cold one, sit down in the comfy chair and start into discussion regarding the issues of our world, our country and ourselves.
That is powerful. Thank you so much.

We are incredibly lucky that those of you who decided to start this blog took the time to emulate the good things other blogs have done, such as start an ActBlue page for EENR endorsed candidates.

We are also lucky that those of you who decided to start this blog took the time to disavow the not-so-good things other blogs have done.

I'll let each individual reading this decide what those things might be. I know what I'm thinking, and if you want to buy a few rounds of drinks at the Greensboro, NC Drinking Liberally meeting some Thursday night, I might even tell you my ideas on the subject.

I want to take this opportunity to say to those of you who decided to start this blog, if you ever need any assistance, please let me know. I will bend over backwards to assist you with anything I might be able to do. This includes pitching in some $$$ when bills for running the site, or upgrading the site, or just for beer money are needed.
I have a feeling there are many others here who might just feel exactly the same. If so, you "others", please tell the Admin's in the comments.

Thank you. You rock, and you know it!

very unhappy about what has been going on and I MISS JOHN EDWARDS!!

I can't endorse the other two candidates, and besides I live in Florida so my votes probably hasn't been counted for a very long time.

8. Yes, Same Name... Like You Too Many Names & Passwords Left
me looking for little notes all over the place when I signed up for something else. I haven't commented there yet, needed to get info as to how to change the password that was given me. I plan to check it out a little more even thought I wanted to sign up a while ago. Just have been busy get lots of paperwork in order and transferring all those little notes into one place.

I'm not only sick of the fighting & nastiness between BOTH CLINTON & OBAMA, I'm beginning to think that Democrats will lose again. And I certainly blame those behind the scenes who pushed other candidates to the side in their agenda "to make history" which now leaves us with TWO candidates I just can't warm up to nor can I campaign for them. I feel Clinton may choose Bayh as her running mate, don't know about Obama, but don't like anything I'm seeing. As I see it, it's really split the Party and it's gotten so much worse. Got an email yesterday about trying to draft Gore, which would be better all around, but I don't see Clinton or Obama willing to give up anything like delegates to him.

Of course living in Florida makes it even worse and as time goes by my interest in this election is almost nil. Never thought I would be THIS apathetic, but I have all but tuned it out. Wish it wasn't so. I can't even work locally because of WHERE I live in Florida!!

Hope to get over there soon, but will be going to Texas for a little while very soon for a class reunion. Yes, TEXAS, the best of two worlds for me!!!!
