I think the pressure on both Edwards to endorse will be increased.
As this race tightens, I think North Carolina becomes even more important. Obama will win NC but the candidates may believe that Edwards can help with the victory margin. I wonder what John and Elizabeth will do?

2. I hope they endorse no one and enjoy their trip to Disney World
That is what they said they would be doing before the election here in NC.

BTW the Repubs in NC plan to "call out" Purdue and Moore in ads challenging their support of Obama and his associates. Expect it to get really nasty around here.

4. Don't know details -- just heard a couple of sentences from Russert
Both Purdue and Moore have endorsed Obama. The NC GOP has announced a news conference for Wednesday to introduce an ad campaign raising the "controversial figures" in Obama's life and questioning how they (P and M) can justify supporting Obama.

I think this is new way to attack our candidates prior to the primary.

5. Governor's race -
Purdue is the Lt. Governor and Moore is the Treasurer. I'm pulling for Moore, Purdue is too DLC typish for me. Also, there is a tight race for the Dem Senate contest, Kay Hagan and Jim Neal - Jim Neal is so much like Edwards. I meet him a few weeks ago and was greatly impressed. Hagan has the DLC backing her too.

6. Didn't know Neal had a primary challenger :(
I think he's best to beat Dole.

Thanks for clarifying Purdue and Moore, at first I thought it was the Chicken guy and Michael....lol.

:hi:

7. Neal was the first one in - Schumer pulled
Hagan - she really didn't want it at first. Here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x3075660 - this should explain it better.

:hi: and congrats to Hillary last night - I'm sure a few heads exploded over in GDP!

9. They certainly exploded on MSNBC last night-- KO, Matthews, Russert
Since the early exit polls had Obama leading with 52%, they were salivating at the prospect of smacking Clinton down. Hope The Daily Show covers some of that. I rewatched part of the early "coverage" that I had on DVR. Surprised that there were not spatter patterns on the screen.

Scarborough and Buchanan were closer to being correct than were the "less partisan" observers.
