Chief charged with stealing $366K of supplies

NORFOLK, Va. — A Navy supply chief has been charged with stealing more than $366,000 worth of computers, televisions and other items using a government-issued credit card.

A federal indictment unsealed this week accuses Chief Petty Officer Antonio Allen with conspiracy, theft of public property and making false statements. The indictment says the 36-year-old Chesapeake man used a Navy credit card to buy items for himself and some that he sold to others.

A co-defendant who was supervised by Allen, Yokeia Gibbs, previously pleaded guilty to related charges and is serving a two-year prison term.
